Perhaps the most important consideration for your customized Digital Direct campaign is the Broadplay assessment of your campaign's “spam-filter” worthiness. Although your campaign is sent to a list of bona fide opt-in customers, many e-mail systems have spam-filters that can block your communication from reaching its destination, your customer's Inbox.
The Broadplay Spam Content Checker uses the SpamAssassin engine to “score” an e-mail for spam content. SpamAssassin is the world's most popular spam filtering software, performing over 1,200 tests on each e-mail message it reviews. For each of the tests that an e-mail fails, a score is assigned. If the total score for the cumulative effect of all the tests is greater than a certain threshold, then SpamAssassin classifies the message as spam and Broadplay recommends final adjustments to improve the delivery success rate.
