Anti-Spam Policy

Broadplay is dedicated to protecting the privacy rights of Internet citizens. Broadplay vigorously opposes the sending of spam (unsolicited e-mail) and makes all efforts to discourage and prohibit the sending of spam.

Digital Direct is not designed for sending spam. Broadplay is highly sensitive to the privacy of each of the subscribers on the lists we deliver to and will not make any name, address, or other information that has been provided for the campaign available to anyone without our client's express written permission. It is a requirement that each message sent includes a means by which the recipient can remove him/herself from the e-mail list (via an unsubscribe link). A recipient may also call Broadplay directly and request to be manually removed from the e-mail distribution list, which Broadplay will accommodate at once. As standard operating procedure, Broadplay provides a summarized list of these requests for you to review upon completion of your campaign.

Bonded Sender Program

The Bonded Sender program is a third-party white-listing program used by over 34,000 ISPs, universities, and organizations around the world to differentiate legitimate e-mail from spam. It is designed to identify legitimate senders of e-mail based on adherence to the Bonded Sender standards so that bona fide commercial e-mails are not inadvertently caught in spam-filters. Broadplay is a certified registrant of the Bonded Sender program, and therefore existing Broadplay customers are able to execute their campaigns benefiting from the "Bonded Sender" classification.

All Digital Direct e-mails are sent from special servers that are white-listed with the Bonded Sender program. The main benefit of this designation is increased deliverability -- your e-mails have a much less chance of being flagged as spam if they are sent from a Bonded Sender server. Studies have shown that participation in the Bonded Sender program can yield an increase of up to 15% in e-mail open and delivery rates.

Sender Policy Framework (SPF)

Broadplay publishes Sender Policy Framework (SPF) records to improve the deliverability of e-mails it sends to effectively eliminate forgery of its clients' mass e-mails. SPF is an emerging e-mail standard that fights e-mail address forgery and makes it easier to identify spam, worms, and viruses.  SPF is gaining wide recognition as an acceptable mechanism to fight spam and authenticate the identity of e-mail senders.  SPF validates an e-mail's From Address against the server that sent the e-mail. Over 20,000 domains have already published SPF records, and Microsoft announced it will check for

SPF records in all incoming e-mail to its Hotmail service, beginning October 1, 2004.

Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

Digital Direct can facilitate the harvesting of customer profile information in a secured environment for any interaction that results from your campaign deployment.

Regulatory (CAN-SPAM Act)

Broadplay administers the Digital Direct process to strictly adhere to all required regulatory guidelines. Broadplay follows the parameters of the CAN-SPAM Act which include:

•  Send commercial e-mails only to those who have given permission to do so
•  Include a mechanism to unsubscribe within the body of the e-mail message
•  Process un-subscribes within 10-days (our system tackles this in real-time)
•  Ensure that the un-subscribe mechanism must work for at least 30-days after the message (Digital Direct has 24 hour system monitoring)
•  Include the sender's valid postal mailing address
•  Clearly identify the e-mail as an advertisement
•  Use an accurate sender name and a valid e-mail address
•  Accurately describe the content of the e-mail in the subject line

Definition of Spam

Spam is unsolicited email sent in bulk. Any promotion, information or solicitation that is sent to a person via e-mail without their prior consent, where there is no pre-existing relationship between the sender and the recipient, is classified as spam.

Broadplay is an e-marketing firm dedicated to using legitimate and effective marketing techniques to gather opt-in e-mail accounts and user profiles. Broadplay does not Spam.
